25003.SM – School friends are important in life. Here are Gussie Taylor Baylor and Carrie Roman walking home from Eagle Avenue Colored School. The school was located on “Potato Hill,” and the photograph is probably from the 1920’s. By 1937, the school had earned a rating as a first-class elementary school from the state.
